America's longest married couple!

I came across this beautiful story in the New York daily news. John (102) and Ann (98) Betar got married on the 25th of November, 1932. They have 5 kids together, 14 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.

Last year, John opened up to ABC News on his special mantra for a successful long-lasting romance. He says ''Don't hold a grudge. Forgive each other. Live accordingly''.
Ann added that ''It is unconditional love and understanding. We have had that. We consider it a blessing''.

 

I think it's really sweet. Just goes to show that unconditional love and understanding go a long way. Through the good times and the bad times, this is what would truly sustain a marriage.
